The Project Prayer Ministry was created in 2005 to bring honor and glory to God by enlightening people about the power of prayer and to let the power of prayer transform and help our school students who are entering the latter years of their school careers.
Project Prayer started with the 8th grade class of the Aledo ISD, the Class of 2010 in Aledo, TX. It was a way to cover EVERY student with prayer on a continuous basis as some students do not have anyone praying on their behalf.
Within the first year, the word spread and the 9th through 12th grades of Aledo also had a Project Prayer for their grade going. Every year since then, a new 8th grade Project Prayer starts up. The students are prayed for until they graduate, so all of Aledo students from 8th through 12th grades have been covered in prayer since 2005.
There is great Power in Prayer as God's glory is revealed! Project Prayer is now being used in other schools, and people have taken the concept and are using it to pray for preschool classes, homeless shelters, college fraternities, and other groups. Because of the simplicity of getting it started, coupled with allowing people to pray on their own schedules, the power of prayer is being magnified and lives are being changed.
"And pray in the Spirit on ALL occasions with ALL kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and ALWAYS keep on praying for ALL the saints." Ephesians 6:18
.
Debbie Davis, a mother of four boys, felt God telling her to start something that would allow all of her oldest son, Devin's, 8th grade class in Aledo, Tx to be prayed for on a continuous basis. When she realized his class had more than 350 students, it suddenly seemed overwhelming. But, after remembering the personal results of the Power of Prayer in her own family's lives, she knew that putting all of the students in God's hands daily through prayer would have wonderful results on them. Project Prayer was created.
"Seek FIRST the Kingdom of Heaven and His Righteousness and ALL shall be added." Matthew 6:33

Now Project Prayer consists of many wonderful Project Prayer organizers and praying people who are helping to further the Kingdom of God through prayer - one person and one prayer at a time.
